The Marine Raider Foundation

Ravenox is proud to be an Ambassador to the Marine Raider Foundation, an organization that supports members of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command (MARSOC). Sean Brownlee, the owner of Ravenox, is a member of this unit and deployed to Afghanistan with MARSOC. He is now proud to own a company that can support active duty and medically retired MARSOC personnel and their families as well as the families of Marines and Sailors who have lost their lives in service to our Nation.

Today's Raiders can trace their roots back to their World War II predecessors the Marine Raiders. The Marine Raiders were units established by the United States Marine Corps to conduct special amphibious light infantry warfare, particularly in landing in rubber boats and operating behind the lines. "Edson's" Raiders of 1st Marine Raiders Battalion and "Carlson's" Raiders of 2nd Marine Raiders Battalion are said to be the first United States special operations forces to form and see combat in World War II.

MARSOC is currently deployed in over 40 countries around the world and its' Critical Skills Operators (CSO's) are now known as Marine Raiders. Marineraiderfoundation.org writes that these Critical Skills Operators spend more than 50% of their time away from their families, whether on deployment or undergoing out-of-area training. These heroes are often exposed to combat and other dangerous situations, which creates an enormous need for support for the personnel and their families. The Marine Raider Foundation provides support to active duty and medically retired MARSOC personnel, their families, and the families of Marines and Sailors who have lost their lives in service.

This support comes in several forms. The Marine Raider Foundation
assists personnel that have been injured or wounded in combat, contingency operations, or training with special needs. This is achieved through training programs, special equipment, and advanced vocational training. The foundation also assists the families of MARSOC personnel through funding for medical procedures, childcare, emergency care, and other services not provided by the government. Lastly, the Marine Raider Foundation supports memorials and services that commemorate fallen personnel and supports reintegration and transition assistance to MARSOC personnel through a variety of programs and services.

Ravenox is proud to donate 10% of all proceeds from purchases made on our website to the Marine Raider Foundation. Click here to make a donation.
